The 5.5 metre yacht "S. I." (International Class) is one of the most common regatta yachts with a fixed keel that takes part in international "Formula" competitions. The 5.5 metre class was established in 1949 as an addition to the existing 6.8 metre and 12 metre classes.
The kit contains all the wooden parts ready sawn out, all the moulding material, wire rope, working shroud tensioners and all the necessary small items as well as sail cloth. A multi-page construction plan and detailed instructions complete the kit.

Die 5.5mR Yachten (International 5.5 Metre Class) gehört zu den verbreitetsten Regattayachten mit Festkiel, die an Internationalen Segelregatten teilnehmen. Die 5.5mR Klasse wurde 1949 als Ergänzung zu den bereits vorhandenen 6mR, 8mR und 12mR Klassen eingerichtet und war von 1949 bis 1968 Olympisch.
